What we do with your personal data
We collect and process your personal information for order processing and in case of later warranty transactions. As part of the order processing, the service providers we employ (e.g. hauliers, logistics and payment providers) will receive the required personal information they need to complete their service. Your email address will be stored during the subscription process for the newsletter, which will allow us to use it for our own marketing purposes until you unsubscribe from the service. You can unsubscribe at any time. Your acceptance of this explanation does not constitute a blanket permission to use your personal information for marketing purposes. We will not forward your information to any other third party for marketing purposes.
You right of withdrawal and objection
When you receive our newsletter or any other advertising material from us, you can opt out of or withdraw your permission for any future use of your personal information for marketing purposes – even to the extent permitted without your express permission – by simply informing us of your wishes and specifically by unsubscribing from our newsletter. You will not incur any costs for the removal of your personal information or for unsubscribing. The only cost for you if you notify us by email will be the amount for the transmission of your message charged by your provider. Please direct your messages to the contact addresses provided at the end of these explanations.
Data Retention, Customer Account
The specifics of your orders will be stored by us. You have the option of registering with us (email address and password). As part of your registration you will have access to the information we store about your person and your orders. Please contact us via one of the contact options below if you want to close your account with us.
Data collection during a visit to our pages
Cookies
We utilise so-called “cookies” on our website. “Cookies” are small files that are sent via your browser and stored on your data storage device. They contain specific settings and information to be exchanged with our system. Cookies allow us to adapt our website design and offering to suit your requirements and make navigation easier for you, i.e. by storing specific settings so you will not have to do them over and over again every time you visit. At the end of each session (visit to our website) these cookies are deleted from your hard drive (these are also known as “session cookies”).
You can also delete session cookies manually no matter what validity period is set for them. Most browsers accept cookies by default. In the security settings of your browser, you can allow or reject temporary or stored cookies individually. Your acceptance of cookies is not prerequisite to accessing our online offering. Some options may not be available to you on our website and some pages may not be displayed correctly if you reject or deactivate cookies.
Web Analysis
You can visit our website without providing any personal information. Nevertheless, whenever you visit our website, even if you do so via a link in a newsletter, some of your data will still be collected and stored. We only store – even if you are accessing the website via a link in a newsletter – only session data without any identifying information; this data will be e.g.
- the website from which you have reached us
- the name of your internet service provider
- the name of the requested file
This information is evaluated solely to improve our online offering and does not allow us to identify you personally.
All information is anonymised for evaluation (e.g.: Information xy was accessed by 45% of all visitors to the page). This process allows us to match the information we offer to the interests of our visitors.
Should we receive any data that would theoretically allow us to discover your identity, e.g. an IP address, then we have a routine in place that will make a personal identification impossible.
Google Analytics
This website utilises Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics utilises so- called "cookies", text files that are sent to and stored on your computer to allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies regarding your use of this website will as a rule be transmitted to a Google server in the US, where the information will be stored. Where IP anonymisation has been activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within EU member states or other states that are contracting parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the US and shortened there in exceptional cases. Google will use the information on behalf of the operators of this website to analyse your use of the website, to create reports on website activities, and to provide other services to the website operator in connection with website use and internet use. The IP address transmitted from your browser in connection with Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data. You can prevent the acceptance of cookies by way of a relevant browser software setting; we would like to point out that you may not be able to utilise all functionalities of this website fully should you choose to reject our cookies. You may furthermore prevent the capture of data related to your use of the website generated by the cookie (including your IP address) and their transmission to Google, as well as the processing of such data by Google by clicking the following download link to a browser plugin you can install: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
MouseFlow
This website utilises Mouseflow, a web analysis tool by Mouseflow ApS, Flaesketorvet 68, 1711 Copenhagen, Denmark, to record random visits to our website (with anonymised IP address only). This creates a log of mouse movements and clicks in an effort to review individual sample website visits and derive potential improvements to the website. The information is not linked to an individual and will not be forwarded to third parties. If you don’t want Mouseflow to record any of your visits to any websites that utilise this tool, then you can disable that behaviour via the following link: http://www.mouseflow.com/opt-out
